Edge & Cloud SCADA:
the plant joins the internet.
Classic SCADA was a master politely asking each device 'any news?' on a loop. That was perfect for one plant and hopeless for fifty thousand sensors feeding dashboards, analytics and the cloud. The modern stack flips it around: devices PUBLISH changes to a broker, anyone can SUBSCRIBE, an edge layer computes close to the metal, and a Unified Namespace gives the whole enterprise one live, self-describing source of truth. This module builds that stack (MQTT, Sparkplug, report-by-exception, edge vs cloud) on everything you already know. It also keeps the D15 rule sacred: data flows out, attackers don't flow in.
Publish, don't poll
📡 polling asks every device 'now? now? now?' forever. Publish/subscribe sends one message only when something changes, to a broker that fans it out to any number of consumers, and none of them add load to the device. That one inversion is what makes plant-to-cloud scale possible.
One namespace to rule them all
🗂️ the Unified Namespace is a single, semantic, ISA-95-shaped tree where the current state of everything lives in plain sight. New systems plug into the namespace instead of into each other, which turns N×N integration spaghetti into N tidy connections.
