🔒 The Suspiciously Fun PLC Series · Track 15PLC & ICS cybersecurity:
PLC & ICS cybersecurity:
keep the plant safe, plainly explained.
Controllers were built to be reliable. Nobody designed them to be secure, and most plants connect more of them every year. This track goes from the absolute basics down to the real depth, and it defines every term in plain language first: OT, ICS, DMZ, Purdue, least privilege, IEC 62443 and the rest. It is defensive and educational only. You will find no attacker how-to here.
Plain-language first
🌱 every chapter has a Beginner panel (plain words, an analogy and a one-line mental model) beside an Advanced panel with the real depth and a rule of thumb.
Practise it
🎯 the flagship "Defend the plant" simulator drops you into real decisions and scores your calls: a contractor wanting in, ransomware next door, a stray USB, an exposed PLC.
🛡️
Vendor-neutral and accurate. Real protocol and standard names are kept exact (Modbus, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, IEC 62443). Nothing here is a how-to for attackers; it is all about how to defend.
No security background needed. We define each term the first time it appears.
